Not even seeing the previous 3 Conjuring movies yet, which I plan to do asap, The Conjuring Last Rites was pretty damn good. For the most part, the movie did fairly well at representing the catholic church & portraying the reality of provoking evil. Patrick & Vera absolutely killed it, as did the rest of the cast, & I like how the movie was mostly conflict, battle, & drama, with a good ending being served at the last second to give you a reasonable sense of resolution. Perfectly executed jumpscares, incredible graphics, amazing storytelling, & absolutely stellar on-screen performances. I'm sure I'll have a slightly different vision of this movie after I watch the previous 3, but overall, I'm more than happy to play this on my TV once or twice & showing it to consenting family & friends!
